T-Mobile - your one stop shop for lack of service
Well, the folks at T-Mobile have done it again. Their soon to be cancelled T-Mobile @Home system is completely down today but only if you route data through Qwest (soon to be CenturyLink). The T-Mobile @Home thread about this has some misdirection from T-Mobile and some denials from Qwest (and some not so hot advice from yours truly).
The U.S. mobile and communications companies are too big for their own good. The relatively simple needs of most consumers mean that we get steam-rolled when they have a problem. I can tell you that Qwest is far from reproach in likely this and certainly other areas - they have a reputation for poor to mediocre service at best (of course, they're not Comcast so they've got one thing in their favor).
